Many people are extremely interested in the ancient science and art of Chinese feng shui. They wonder if it’s really possible to use it to add positive energy and feelings of vitality to their lives. This art is also said to assist in gaining wealth, being healthier, and attaining real happiness.

Of course, Chinese feng shui isn’t like waving a magic wand. It won’t cure all your ills or instantly make you rich. However, applying its principles to your life in general can offer a number of benefits. Here are just a few.

For one, Chinese feng shui encourages peace and harmony in the home, and along those lines, encourages people to de-clutter their environments and their lives overall. Of course, its absolutely impossible to decide what exactly can and cannot be considered clutter in your home and your life; as the old saying goes, One mans trash is another mans treasure. However, the application of Chinese feng shui is meant to encourage positive energy and to get rid of anything that drains you of this energy, or that introduces negative feelings and energy in your life.

Of course, this doesn’t just apply to material possessions. You can also declutter in regards to spiritual and metaphorical possessions, too. Some people have friends who only get in contact when they need something, and tend to leave them feeling empty and drained after a short visit. These are the sort of people who might be cluttering up your life. If they take more than they add, you should revisit your relationship with them, using an objective eye.

Its also true that the Asian cultures value hard work and applying ones self to your family and your career. Chinese feng shui encourages you to use your energy in these types of positive ways; by doing so, you will be only encouraging more positive energy in your life. Think about how that might apply in your own family.

Decide if you’re using your energy, time, and resources as a way to encourage strong, healthy bonds with your family. If you see your family as a good place invest your positive energy, you’re applying an important principle of Chinese feng shui. Positive energy always creates more positive energy. Once you know this, you’ll be happy to work hard to create strong, lasting family bonds.

It is true too that Chinese feng shui puts a great deal of emphasis on the use of color in ones home and environment, however, be careful that you dont fall for folklore and myth when it comes to this aspect of the art. There is no real basis for thinking that a red front door is lucky or special in any way, or that certain colors will bring prosperity and wealth when used abundantly.

However, when you used certain colors in particular areas of the home, you can create a desired mood. If you use a bright color, you’ll feel more energized. Soft or dark colors are more likely to soothe you and make you more calm.

In these few ways, you can see how Chinese feng shui can add positive energy and vitality in your own life.
